Subject: Resident attacked by member of Protect Geauga Parks
I did attend the Tuesday, April 14, 2015, Geauga Park Board meeting and as I was leaving, I was viciously attacked by a member of the Protect Geauga Parks group.
The actual meeting was wonderful. The commissioners did a superb job of leading the program and responding to all issues and questions. Pat Leech spoke and shared such a precious story that really made a tremendous impact on everyone in attendance and especially me. I think I understand so much better the message she has been trying to convey. John Augustine was one of my favorite speakers. He made excellent points and brought great insight to the meeting. Ed Buckles spoke well and set the tone for the meeting, it was a tone of consensus and working together.
However, as I was leaving the meeting, a women came rushing up to me and grabbed me by my arms, pulling me so hard that she injured my right arm. I wasn't sure what happened, but it felt like my shoulder was dislocated. I tried to break free of her, but she kept shaking me and when I did break free, she started hitting me. There were members of the Protect Geauga Park in the area, watching, and they did nothing to help me. I was begging them to please get the ranger, I called out for the ranger but nobody came to help me. At no time did I hit or strike this woman, I only tried to break free and protect myself.
I had to struggle to get away from this brutal woman, and when I did, I ran to my car and went home to call the Rangers. I do not have a cell phone, but called as soon as I got home, minutes after I had left the park. The Geauga Park District Ranger contacted me immediately and came to my home so I could report the attack. I did go to the hospital the same evening and had to go again the very next morning as I was treated for complications with concussion and dislocated shoulder.

But I'm not really surprised. I always had a feeling those environmental extremist wackos from that Protect Geauga Parks group had a violent side to them. I'm not sure what they are trying to save the Parks from?
After attending several meetings of the Geauga Park Board, it was plain to see by this groups behavior. They were always unruly, boistrous, aggressive, and rude to other speakers who didn't share their opinions, making cat calls at them while they tried to speak. I remember on more than one occasion the Park Commissioners had to reprimand them for being disruptive and unruly. One incident in particular the Commissioners had to go as far as threatening removal of some of these people by the Park ranger as they were so out of control.
Yes.... I am not surprised at all!!
lady fat battleaxe who attacked you needs to pay for her actions. You don't visciously attack someone, causing physical damage to them just because you don't agree with what they say.
From what I uderstand Judy, you sustained some serious injuries, had to be hospitalized, and while you were being brutally attacked in the lobby their were some people witnessing this who did absolutely nothing!
People like this are disgusting, they have no backbone, but let something happen to them and they go sqealing like the pigs that they are.
This ugly-spirited, violent woman and the onlookers who did nothing will eventually get what they deserve because what goes around comes around.... it always does. The onlookers are just as guilty as the perpetrator.
You have to ask yourself.... what kind of people would just stand there and do nothing while another person is being visciously attacked. They could have at least called the Park ranger.
These extremist wingnuts claim to be a peacefull and caring group but it seems they care more about butterflies and frogs than human life.
