Texas Resident Shot and Killed

2 Teenagers During Home Invasion

SAN MARCOS, Texas —  Police in Texas say a group of teenagers were trying to break into a home when a resident opened fire and killed two of the youths.

San Marcos Police Chief Howard Williams says the shootings happened shortly before 2 a.m. Friday. He says two 16-year-olds died and a third teenager was seriously wounded.

Another teen was unharmed and arrested in the shootings that were about 30 miles south of Austin.

Authorities declined to release the teenagers' identities but say the two killed were from Luling, about 20 miles from San Marcos.

Williams says police responded to a call of a home invasion and shots fired.

Authorities say the three people who were home at the time were not injured.

Such a sad story! These were just kids! Kids who won't ever have a chance to have the right to "Life, Liberty and The Pursuit Of Happiness". WHY? Because this is not what they were pursuing!! Instead, they were trying to interfere with someone elses right to "Life, Liberty and The  Pursuit  Of Happiness".

If you were home at night and heard someone breaking in, wouldn't this strike terror into your heart? You wouldn't know what to expect, or if you would have a chance to survive. Your heart would be pounding in fearfull anticipation of the many unknown possibilities that could have life threatening consequences for you and your family.

These were just kids, only 16....but when the safety of your life and home is being threatened, you don't stop and ask the intruders how old they are, nor should you care! Sixteen year olds can kill and terrorize too!

What the hell were these dumb kids thinking?! How did their parents bring them up? Were they taught to respect other peoples lives and property? Doesn't seem like it, and now these parents have lost their children! The horrible agony of this will be felt the rest of their lives. 

When you do dumb things without thought, break the law, try to harm other people and property......YOU COULD DIE!

Parents, care enough about your children, love them, keep track of them and who they hang with, teach them right from wrong, and most importantly, help them develope a relationship with JESUS!

The Homeowner was justified and had a right to protect his family and home!
