Ed Ryder caught in two lies under oath in national
landmark case of internet blogger 1st Amendment
right to free speech!
On Thursday, April 28, 2011, there was a full hearing at the Ohio Elections Commission (OEC) in Columbus, Ohio, as a result of a complaint filed with them by Ed Ryder and the Geauga County Board of Elections. Ryder is on that board and is also the ineffective chairman of the Geauga Republican Party. The Geauga County Prosecutor's office is representing them.
The complaint alleges that I am a P.A.C. (Political Action Committee) and have not registered as such with the state of Ohio nor elected a Treasurer or filed a financial statement, therefore I am in violation of Ohio law requiring all of that.
This was a retaliatory action by the Geauga Board Of Elections and Prosecutors office, spurred by Ed Ryder, over my critical but true comments on this site about Ryder himself and other local politicians these people support and are friends with.
They want to shut me up and take away my 1st Amendment right of free speech. This is typical of politicians as most of them lie and think they are above the law. They don't want people publicly exposing the truth about them.
As vile as I think these people are....If someone tried taking ANY of their rights away, I would support and help them because our GOD given rights are far more important to me than personal feelings about anyone.
Ryder's first lie: Stating he attended a public forum I put on at West Geauga High School at which a local Judge spoke, who happened to running for office at the time. Ryder claimed that I was promoting his candidacy at the forum. The only problem with that is....I didn't have ANY Judge speaking at that particular forum and that was the only one Ed Ryder ever attended. He made it up. Liars eventually get caught because they can't keep track of and remember all their lies.
Ryder's second lie: He stated I had 8 women working for me at that forum. I passed out many clipboards with e-mail sign up sheets on them to random men and women asking if they would pass them around. I guess when you do that, according to Ryder, these people now work for you. They must have all quit at the same time because none of them ever showed up for work again.
At the conclusion of the hearing, the OEC found that I, personally, have done nothing wrong and have every right to exercise my free speech. They also found the Geauga Constitutional Council, which is this web site and my pseudonym name, to be a P.A.C. that has not registered with the state.
I am very confused about their second finding.
This isn't over yet. Stay tuned for further updates.
